My name is Jill Stoel (pronounced Stole). I live in a city near Dallas, Texas. I’ve been sewing since I was 12 years old, making my own clothing. I made all my children’s clothing when they were young. I started crocheting 50 years ago.
I’ve been a member of Methodist churches all my life. I currently sing in the church choir, am the president of Quilts for Kids, a member of the United Women in Faith, a member of the Missions Committe, among other volunteer activities. Our Quilts for Kids donates between 200-300 quilts to various hospitals in the area. We also donate around 150 crocheted baby hats to hospitals each year.
I am a Vietnam Era Veteran who worked in communciations in the United States and Germany. I make quilt for Quilts of Valor.
I started this business originally to support my crafting hobby, but now have expanded it to help with the costs of help others.
