Cozy Threads Cottage is a small, home-based handcraft business located in Texas, specializing in handmade quilts, crochet items, and other custom creations.

1. Custom Order Terms

1.1 Order Process

All custom orders are made-to-order and crafted by hand. To place a custom order, please contact us through the inquiry form on this website. A custom order is not confirmed until you have received written confirmation from Cozy Threads Cottage and any required deposit has been received.

1.2 Deposits & Payment

• On orders over $50, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total order price is required to begin work on any custom order. On orders under $50 full payment is required before work begins.
• The remaining balance is due upon completion, before the item is shipped or delivered.
• Payment methods accepted will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.

1.3 Production Times

Each item is handcrafted with care and attention to detail. Estimated production times will be provided at the time of order confirmation. Production timelines may vary depending on order complexity, materials availability, and current order volume. Cozy Threads Cottage will communicate any delays as promptly as possible.

1.4 Design & Customization

• Customers are responsible for providing accurate details, measurements, color preferences, and any other specifications at the time of ordering.
• Changes to a custom order after work has begun may not be possible and may result in additional charges.
• Cozy Threads Cottage reserves the right to use reasonable creative discretion when exact materials or colors are unavailable.
• Final products may vary slightly from photos or descriptions due to the handmade nature of each piece.

1.5 Portfolio & Showcase

By placing a custom order, you agree that Cozy Threads Cottage may photograph the completed item and use those images for portfolio, website, and social media purposes, unless you specifically request otherwise in writing at the time of ordering.

2. Refund & Return Policy

2.1 Custom Orders

Because all custom orders are made-to-order and personalized, all sales on custom items are final. Refunds are not available for custom orders except in the circumstances described below.

A refund or replacement may be offered if:

• The item arrives damaged or defective due to a crafting error.
• The item significantly differs from the agreed-upon specifications confirmed in writing.

To be eligible, you must notify Cozy Threads Cottage within 7 days of receiving your order, with photos documenting the issue.

2.2 Ready-Made Items

For any non-custom, ready-made items purchased through the website, returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds will be issued once the returned item has been received and inspected.

2.3 Deposit Policy

The 50% deposit collected to begin a custom order is non-refundable once work has commenced. If you cancel a custom order before work has begun, your deposit may be refunded at the sole discretion of Cozy Threads Cottage.

2.4 How to Request a Refund

To initiate a return or refund request, please contact us through the website with your order details and a description of the issue. We will respond within 3–5 business days.
